A woman with curly dark hair, wearing glasses and a black dress with white and yellow flower patterns, laughing with her mouth open.

Sabrina Gallego is beyond excited to begin teaching at Jacqui's Piano Studio! An arts educator specializing in Music Education and Theatre who will graduate from the University of Southern Maine this May, Sabrina has a special relationship with the piano. From age 7, Sabrina self-taught herself, using only her musical ear and a lot of encouragement from her parents to play the music she heard all around her. One comprehensive musical education in high school later, she took lessons with Dr. Audrey Kaiser at the Community College of Rhode Island for a year, followed by 5 productive years with Dr. Laura Kargul at the University of Southern Maine. Sabrina knows just how important informal piano learning is as any formal learning, and is excited to find what balance is just right for any student!

She primarily works as a music director- having recently worked with Lyric Music Theater, Maddy's Theatre at CMTM, STAGES Youth Theatre, and South Portland HS. She performs onstage when the opportunity arises, as well, but will be starting life as a full-time classroom music teacher this fall! Sabrina believes a more accessible, inclusive, and diverse landscape in the arts is necessary to keep it alive and thriving, and is committed to that mission at every opportunity.
